Behavioral & Mental Health

Issues such as unresolved grief, depression, anxiety, emotional pain and anger are often overwhelming and can lead to a psychiatric crisis. In addition, a person may be struggling with addictive behaviors including alcohol and drug abuse. Our focus is to restore hope, meaning and purpose.

Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center in Murrieta, California provides an outpatient and partial hospitalization program in the Professional Office Building next to the hospital.

This outpatient program provides a holistic approach to behavioral and mental health needs, focusing on mind, body and spirit.

Adult Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Care

We offer a two-tiered program for adults, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient.

The partial Hospital Program (PHP) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) are highly structured therapeutic day treament programs providing psychiatric and dual diagnosis treatment while allowing patients to return home in the evening. These hospital based programs serve as a “step down” from inpatient hospitalization or as a means to prevent hospitalization.

Partial Hospitalization – available five days per week, six hours per day, patients are admitted to this program Monday through Friday.

Intensive Outpatient – available two to five days per week, Monday through Friday, for four hours per day.

The goals of both programs is to assist patients in achieving the highest level of independence by utilizing therapy, medication evaluation and educational groups. Our staff of skilled and compassionate professionals are committed to helping patients realize their fullest potential.
